Ainoa Burgos Gonzalez was born in Segovia (Spain) and is citizen of Brighton (U.K). Ainoa is currently studying MA Photography and graduate of Fine Art: Sculpture at University Of Brighton. Recent exhibitions had been held by CCA, University of Brighton, Dodo Gallery, Phoenix Art Space, Churchill Square Shopping Centre, Artist Open Houses and Hannington Lane Development, Round Lemon, SEAS Brighton (Socially Engaged Art Salon), Gallery 40 and ONCA Gallery.
Ainoa is a multidisciplinary artist who encompasses sculpture, installation, performance, video and photography within her creative work. Her artworks explore subjects like western beauty stereotypes, ideas of personal space, environmental concerns and visual anthropology. She frequently examines the body and its relationship with different environments through a range of materials. Her projects have varied relationships with audience, in some artworks she creates an immersive space, in others she employs socially engaged strategies or audiences become participants in the work or interact with it in some way.
